Default problems in boost paradise.....

Well I am ready to call it quits!! I can't ******* win. Here is the brief story on what I am going through. Any comments are Welcome!

Ok, last summer I was driving to Chicago and my car began over heating...we got there, and then we drove home stopping every hour to make sure my coolant was aight. I was staying off boost too! ( i have a built d16z6) so I get home and we pull the head, headgasket is shot. So I take the head to a place to get it looked at, and they say its fine....(eh hem..bullshit...eh hem!) So I put it back on with a fresh gasket and I am on my way. Well it was late in the summer, so I didnt get to drive it much, but it began to overheat again! So over the winter, I get a new Koyo Radiator, and my old radiator was a POS!! So rusted and just ****. So the new one is on, and no more over heat!! Yeah...Right..WRONG!

So I go to Payn to get it tune my hondata, and everything is running smooth. Made 165WHP at like 6400rpm at a meesly 6psi. Well then he brings the rpm's up more...and I am blowing coolant into the overflow catch can!! UH OH.......Headgasket again...something sounds fishy!!! Well I take her off once again, and take her to a different place....CRACKED!!! As you all might have read in my other post! Well, I get a new one, new headgasket, they check it...A-OK, I get her all put back together, new headgasket and all...start her up, let her warm up, take her out for a few spins..like 4-5 revvin pretty hard....OK. So I come home and drop off my buddy, and I go to give her a bath, get home....and she starts blowing coolant again!!

WHAT THE ****!!!!

Ok, congrats if you made it through this story!!

Any suggestions!?

Have you had the surface of the block check to make sure it didn't warp when it overheated? You may need to have that resurfaced too.

yeah, just got the head back from pressure check and plaining. It is in good form. Could it be my radiator cap, because it didn't fit perfect when I got the new radiator. I kept my stock cap, and for some reason it fit weird on the Koyo!

thats really wierd man.... i'd think that the surfaces on the head or block are warped or something...? i wouldnt think that a rad. cap would have THAT large of an effect, but try replacing the thermostat, and rad cap just for good measure

good luck man

Well the car isn't overheating. When I drive it, and give her hell...she doesn't overheat at all. But when I stop, then the coolant slowly starts to fill in the overflow container. BUT, then Temp is still ok. I am completely lost. I got a new radiaor cap, and it fit better, but still did the same thing. I am thinking about flushing my coolant again, and then who knows. Maybe I am done with this crap and it's time to selll and get something else!!!!

Anyone else have any ideas!?

1. is your fan working?
2. your car will overheat because of the hot air from the turbo, even though your not boosting, it's still hot air. Don't leave the car running when not driving it.
