Problem with Weisco Piston rings!?
I am wondering if anyone has come across this issue?
81.5mm wiesco pistons with a .0035" ptw clearance and checked after maching my cylinder walls are perfect with no out of round or taper.
When going to gap the top compression rings two right out of the box are pretty close at .018" while the other two are .024"! It varies big timer and i am not going to run .024" on the top ring with our power level in a street car.
I mixed the rings around and checked them in other bores and the gaps still remain the same.
I am wondering if anyone has come across this?
I have contacted who i purchased them from and hopefully we can work things out.

Re: Problem with Weisco Piston rings!?
I've seen some of the wiseco rings end up being a little looser out of the bag.
Not sure if wiseco has addressed this or not but they can send you new rings, you have to contact them directly.
