we just ordered a set of high rev skunk2 springs and skunk2 retainers. i sent the head to the machine shop to get a valve job and to put the springs and retainers on. latter the guy called me and said there is a problem with the valve keepers and they don't fit the new retainers. with the new retainers the valve tips are sitting too low and they are lower than the retainers. i wasn't sure what he was talking about so i stopped by the shop to see what he is talking about. when i got there i found out he is right and actually the valve tips are lower than the retainers compare to the stock retainers so the rockers are going to actually site on the retainers not the valves. any thoughts here? have anyone ever had a problem like that before?
