I'll check what you have already mention. Does your radiator fan comes on? Check that and the coolant hose.

Make sure the hoses are good condition. Happen to my cousin car. We change everything we can think of and at the end it was a coolant hose that was leaking coolant small amount of coolant. Check for cuts, holes, anything that will cause a leak or air to escape. One little air leak or coolant can cause over heating.

Could be a head gasket starting to go too. Does your car have white smoke from the exhaust?

I had this problem, i changed my thermostat and problem solved I had the same symptoms, i had to turn on the heat for it to got back down. Thermostats arent that much so i would try that.

Did it start happening after you installed you radiator? Did you bleed the system? 75% of the time thats the problem.

If you let the car run the fan should automatically come on. If its not coming on and the temp is going up then change the thermo switch.

Check those two first before riping everything apart.
