The d16y8 that I just bought has a funny metal tube that resembles a dipstick coming out of the top of the oilpan, beside the manifold. It's closed off and doesn't go anywhere. It's about an inch and a half long... It was covered in crap (old blowoff) too, by the way, so I don't think it's been used (if at all) for a while.

Could this be an oil feed for a turbo? or could it somehow just be a ventilation system? It looks a little big for an oil feed, but you never know for sure. The enigine came modified with an AEM cam gear, btw, so it's possible
