Default Pressure test questions.

I'm doing clean up on my car after the dyno. I need to pressure test my intercooler kit, and such. I'm using a forward facing manifold, so my question is, can I get a 4" cap and put it right on the front of the compressor of the turbo, the open part? Then just run like 50 psi through the entire system like that?

pretty much... start low and slowly build up from there. I don't think you'll need to go that high though, you should catch a leak way before that pressure

personnaly I'd get a 4" coupler and then a pvc cap that fits in the other end.

I would get some way of accurately monitoring pressure (gauge) and some way of limiting the rate you presurize (some kind of valve)

fyi things will blow off at high pressures be careful
