Default prepping engine for nitrous. Compression issues?

hey guys...one of my friends is getting ready to spray a dry 65 shot of nitrous on his 98 prelude and after performing a tune-up, we found out that the compression of cylinder #1 is 170psi while cylinders 2,3,and 4 were at 185, 200 and 200. After dropping a little oil into cylinder 1 and retesting the compression, it went up to 200psi. so, the rings are bad. Will it be safe to run a 65 shot on his motor?given the fuel and ignition issues are setup accordingly?? or should he just chill on the nitrous until he gets a rebuild?

i wouldnt do anything until he is ready to do the rebuild. If you start spraying now you run the risk of blowing out the ring lands and then be forced to do the rebuild.

Once you have everything in order, parts and money wise, then you could starting fooling around with N2O and no care if you blow out a ring land, well as long as it doesnt scar up the cylinder walls too badly.
