Default Precision vs. RC injectors question

There is a huge price difference between the 2 brands, with RC being almost double the price.

Is there a huge difference in quality/fittment/reliability between the two?

I need 440cc injectors in the next 3 weeks. I want to go with Precision to save $$$. Can anyone tell me their experience with Precision injectors? Are they a safe choice?

thx

Both can provide what you need. The Precision uses a Delphi Injector as its standard, and you can even get up to 525cc high impedence. The RC injector typically is a Rochester/Lucas injector. They work good as well.

Can't go wrong with either one, but the Delphi / Precision is a nicer choice from my experience.

i am not a tuner, so my experience may be user error. i had the Precision 650cc hi imp injectors and could not get them idle very well without being almost 12:1 AFR. switched to the RC 750cc hi imp and now it idles 14-15:1 no problem. i also could not get my battery offsets right with the precision, but the RC was pretty easy.

i believe the Precision 650cc injectors were Siemens, so that may be part of it too. i'm sure both are just as equal in the hands of a real tuner, but that was my experience with the two.

From what I have found out the RC's have a better spray pattern and atomized better because of it. Just more engineering and research in my opinion.

Do you get better atomization from one over the other given that fuel pressure remains at the same setting?

Yes, that is controled by the spray pattern mostly, there is a lot more to it tho.

The newer ones are a Siemen Deka mototron injector. The standard low impedence are Delphi.
