Precision Intercooler brackets...who can make some?
People are charging to much for the brackets. My dad and I went to lowe's and got some L brackets to mount it. I would post pics but imagestation is down
L Brackets would require me to weld on my intercooler, I didn't really want to do that. I was hoping to get something more like this...
Nah you wouldn't have to weld. I made my brackets today and I got them from Lowes and used Jb Weld. I'll post pics tomorrow.
Not a big fan of JB Weld either, but post the pictures up anyways. Maybe I'll change my mind. I still like the bracket I pictured the best. Unfortunetly, the person who was supposed to make me one, hasn't come through.
no welding needed. those threads on the side will be used. you bolt the L bracket to your support bar. Getting a mental pic of what i am talking about
U mean the bumper support? The 31.5x8x3.5 wouldn't fit with the bar, I wish it did cause it would have made everything a lot better and easier. I'll post pics and a write up once I have everything on and let everyone see how I did my brackets. I wanted to get the same bracket at the top of the page but espanol said he does not make or sell them for the smaller intercooler like the one I have.

I wouldn't use JB weld, I had tried that on my intercooler, because I had steel brackets with an aluminum intercooler. They broke after a couple weeks. And I did do it the right way, there was just too much stress on the weld.

Exactly. Bumper support has to come out for the intercooler I'm using.

Ryan, I am lost? why would you need to weld?
I am also just getting a strip of metal from Lowes and making my own. You won't even see them. <$10 for sure.
Anyone know what the bolt size is for these intercoolers?

That's a good write up, but it looks like he is screwing the top of the bracket into the bumper support. From my understanding, the AS1025 wouldn't fit with the stock bumper support in place. Did you use the AS1025?

I hope Arturbo doesn't mind I'm borrowing his pics.

It doesn't look like it will fit with the bumper support in to me. You guys think it might?

I saw that. It's a very good illustration. I notice you screwed the top of the bracket into the bumper support. You didn't have any problems getting the AS1025 to fit underneath the bumper support even though it's 8" tall?

nope, i have the stock bumper, I did cut out the grill though. You can't see any of bumper on the bottom. If I didn't grind out a spot for the two tabs it would of.
