Precision Injectors
I want opinions of Precision Injectors
They are very good prices compared to RC, etc. but are they very good quality?
I am looking to run 1600cc (that is the largest, right) on a turbo integra with a very large turbo and built motor.

Re: Precision Injectors (BOOSTEDS2K)
I currently have Precision 880 injectors and they are great! Tuned with AEM EMS right now.
My buddy has Precision 880 tuned with hondata and he really like them!
Our tuner had no trouble getting them to idle!

There is no need for 1600cc injectors in your setup. Do 1000cc's at max.

i already have 1000cc, but all the cars (4 cyl) i have seen making huge power--700+whp have 1600cc
that one integra that jotech did (black and silver), an 800+whp MR2, and Sergey (who will be making 800+whp on his MR2) use 1600cc
using the 1000cc would be nice since I already have them, but I don't know if they will be quite enough
bulldogg--if you want to buy my 1000cc R/C i will sell them for $400

Thanks, but already have Precision 1000cc injectors, and something you might also want to know is that not one of those cars you just mentioned are using Hondata. Sure it can be done, but with a stand alone EMS. Jason's Integra at JoTech is on AEM EMS, not sure what Sergey is going to have to tune with, but I know you won't be making 700whp+ with under 28lbs of boost considering that is the limitation that you can run using Hondata because that is when the 3 bar map sensor is tapped. Sure you can play with the Hondata and run a little over 30 pounds, but it won't be an accurate tune. Not to mention, you keep saying this is going to be a daily driver. I take it you are going to be driving around on C16 at all times??? Because you won't be making 700whp+ anytime soon on 93 Octane.

Joe Hussein figured a way to tune it accurately at 35+ boost, I think because we talked about running that much and he said he can make it work. I will run about 20 lbs. daily on pump gas--probably around 550 whp and then 35 or so on c-16
it will be a daily driver until i come up with money to get something cool for a daily driver, like a TL or something like that

I highly doubt that it will be accurate/realiable. Yeah he can make it work with a bunch of mathmatical guestimates, but again it will not be accurate. More or less just a shot in the dark.

i guess we'll see...he is pretty damn good, though
you have to take chances to have crazy power
maybe it will blow the motor--probably not, but that is the price you pay for that kind of power
actually I saw a car in a magazine a couple of weeks ago--a del sol with an integra motor making well over 700whp using hondata

I knew we were going to get to this....that car is actually Jason Penman's car from Salt Lake City, Utah. Thread about his car-->

There were more contributing factors than just the Hondata that got him that power, as well as some tuning secrets on how he could run around 30psi with Hondata off of the bottle.

what kind of factors are you talking about?
and how do you know that Joe Hussein doesn't have a few tuning secrets as well?
just curious...apparently it can be done

And I quote a respectable tuner:
(1:49 AM 11/1/2004) Bulldogg83: is there an ACURATE way to tune Hondata over 30+ of boost???
(1:49 AM 11/1/2004) Mase: hrmm, never really tired..
(1:50 AM 11/1/2004) Bulldogg83: isn't the last column for only 20 something lbs?
(2:09 AM 11/1/2004) Mase: 29
(2:09 AM 11/1/2004) Bulldogg83: so....can you tune past it accuratly? or is it just some good estimating?
(2:11 AM 11/1/2004) Mase: well. say u want to run 33 psi. the map sensor will read 29 psi and if your boost controller is accurate enough never to go over 33 psi, it will be ok, but 30,31,32 psi will probably be a tad rich, 34 psi will be lean, etc etc
So you are bascially making guesses hoping that everything will work out. After doing a quick search Jason made that power on 29lbs, and his 50 shot. As far as his tuning secrets I am not sure what exactly they are because I have not scene his maps, but I have a few ideas.

I bet his tuner is planning to use a 5bar map sensor and convert the voltage. I don't know anyone who has done it yet, but it should work.
As for 1600cc injector's, they are going to be tough to control w/ the stock honda injector driver's and resistor box set up... but it can be done as well. St00pid has already done it. 1000's will definitly max out if he makes the power he wants too.

You guys are horrible!!
If you going to be running that much power, I think I would step up to a different EMS. Hondata is great and all, but it has its limits.
