ok, now that we got some of this off our chest, im going to go ahead and point out that the point of this thread may not be a technical question, but a question about recieving good technical information.

Im going to start off by saying Mag22 those are good noob questions, but that also brings me to my point, depending on what kind of title you gave that post it would most likely be ignored, or skimmed over by the people who would actually know good answers to those questions because 99.9% of the time it is assumed that the question is more along the lines of "will a greddy 18g turbo bolt directly up to my t3/t4 manifold."

So basically the orignal purpose of this post is to try and limit the amount of good questions that are skimmed over because they are in between 2 noob questions. I know i personally have posted 2 good tech questions in the past week or two that i feel hardly got read because the noob questions kept bumping me down or my post just got skipped over while sifting through the noob post.

So this is not a thread to discourage the noobs from learning about forced induction or to ask questions, but to see that good information that they will use later on is being passed up because someone wants to know about the latest ebay manifold. I know i personally rather look at tech on how to remove the oil galley plugs out of my cranks counterweights so i can clean the gallies rather than explaining how it isnt boost that determines what size injectors you need but the power you plan to make.

Re: (turbodohcsi)
Sometimes you have to get the search words so perfect to get specific threads with answers. It can be a pain so imo I don't mind the same questions revolving. If people want to find new tech you can use search too.

I think people are overly consumed with flaming people even though they might be dumb themselves. Dumb people need advice too. lol

Go on H8 me I don't care ha ha

thanks for clarifying that you support racism, atleast that's how it comes off when reading that statement.

Flaming is nothing but a waste of time, it is used by weak minded people who have nothing constructive to say. Anyways, people just need to be more open minded, that not everyone knows turbo setups and EVERYONE had to learn somehow, some just don't have that great of research skills, and that is where the community should come in and help the person out and NICELY point them in the right direction. Not the stupid, "hey you noob, use the search feature!" or something worse to that extent.

Most of the people who've been here for a while do use the search feature. That's why you don't see them posting all sorts of random threads. (I do agree that it can be a pain to use at times.)

Once you'v ebeen around a few years, you'll see that some of the noob questions get old.

Don't knock it till you try it. HMT doesn't have people who ask "what kind of horsepowerz will my turbo put down?". Well, they do, but that's surely the last post from that person. It's harsh, but the strategy is flawless.

Oh, and the most played out posts in the HT forced induction forum are the people showing off what they have for no other purpose. Especially since it's usually the same setup that the other 3 guys showing off have. Cosmetic/Appearance or the model specific forums (where everything has already been covered anyway) would be more appropriate, I think.

Re: (stealthmode62)
HMT has its purpose, but it not the end all of forced induction forums. I have been a HMT member since 2002-2003, it is a good resource, but they have their bad points also....I mean common, fab/**** section? That is just like the sport compact racing serieses that are out and about, people always wonder why our type of racing is never taken seriously, it is because of stuff like that. I mean common, goto a NHRA national event, you won't see it, and you won't see that kind of stuff in the Mopar, Ford, or Chevy events either.
