The last time I checked, the topic didn't mention anything about cost. I do agree that this setup is a bit much. However, in the climate where this car is driven, it is not reliable to have bare wire connections under the rear of the car. Salt takes forever to be washed off the roads after winter, and this car sees a lot of rain. Not saying that there isn't other ways around protecting the connections from corrosion. </TD></TR></TABLE>
so spending a lot of money and running a sugetank is the answer to salt corrosion? omg, why didn't the oems think of this years ago.

I dont know why I even bother contributing with this site. Every post made takes 4 posts to explain them, and so on.
Im not saying that this is the cheapest way to go. However, if I was on a large budget where everything else on the car is basically complete and I was conserned about possible salt corrosion or maybe having roadkill remove the pump from my car completely. I would definately consider this setup.
And the last time I checked, oem doesn't leave bare connections hanging 5 inches from the bottom of the trunk for something as important as a fuel supply. Thats not hard to steal or anything.

Re: (I.C.C.)
bosch pumps are recommended by a lot of people. I have a1000 on my car now and its loud as hell. bosch pumps are puller pumps so u can mount them anywhere.
Does anyone know the inlet and outlet on bosch 044 pumps?

Re: (Turbocivic94)
there isnt anything wrong with 2 pumps. but if one fails you have half the fuel.
we used to do it on the turbo t's.
but to the above. it is a db2015a. i only want to run 1 pump.

This is because you don't use the rubber mounting brackets....

Yes or you can run it like I have my Talon run and force feed it from an intank pump to the inline A1000. Im using the Bosch 0580254044 as my intake pump in my cell (same pump used in the 911) which feeds my A1000 mounted to the frame rail.

it's m18x1.5 inlet and
m12x1.5 outlet
and most of the fitting companies are selling metric to an fittings...i just picked up the ones to go to 8an on my setup...haven't installed it yet...and the metric threads don't seal like pipe thread, so i think you'll need to run a copper washer...not sure if this is correct...still trying to figure it all out myself...'

Re: (dbang003)
On the metric, not the -8 AN end, I would use fuel approved teflon tape. You can get it in the gas plumbing section of home depot. Or get a fitting that allows the use of an o-ring to seal the fitting.

Re: (Turbocivic94)
yea...18mm...i got a 18mmx1.5 to -8an fitting and it threads in fine...just doesn't seal like pipe thread...it just bottoms out on the hex in the middle of the fitting...that's why i'm thinking of putting a copper washer in there like on the stock fuel line connections under the hood...
i couldn't find an o-ringed metric to AN fitting, so i just went with the regular metric to AN...i plan on using teflon tape, but i've been told by pipe fitters that the tape is more of a lubricant than a sealant...it's used on pipe thread to reduce friction, so that the tapered thread can be tightened down more...at least that's what the people who use it every day have told me...i'll use both the tape and a washer...that way i should be good...
i'm having the same questions for my water feed/return setup for my turbo...the inlet/outlet is 14mm...so i figure i'll just do the same with a washer and tape...but i'm guessing the tape will just deteriorate with the high heat???

ive used teflon tape to seal oil and water fittings on turbos many times with no problem... I mean hell, it is the same stuff they use to put non stick coatings on pots and pans

my car sits on 26" tall tires in the rear and is jacked up. I dont lower my car back down when I'm not at the track so I need not worry about clearance.
I believe Kataku and the boys at Ground Zero made this fuel setup. I purchased it second hand from a buddy.
