Default POrt matching

I jsut started port matching my manifold to my turbo. Anyone know how beneficial this is?? On the insides of my manifold it was really rough frmo casting so I started smoothin it out and I also port matched the manifold to the turbo.

Heres the pics.

i did the same thing to mine before I had it coated. Since that looks like the drag manifold, the slight porting is good since "the smoother the better" applies for exhaust, and the drag mani. is rough. Don't expect to feel anything on the butt dyno, but as long as its smooth it can only help.

Is it true that it helps to spool the turbo up faster?

To a certain degree...but don't expect instant boost. Try a more free flowing exhaust first.

I already have a Greddy EVO and a test pipe replacing my cat, then the downpipe from the turbo. Im going to also do header wrap on the downpipe and possibly get that turbo wrap. Anyone know if that benefits anything??

keeping more heat inside helps exaust velocity which helps spool
