so i turboed my obd1 gsr block with 99 si head in my 97 civic with out the crank sensor. i am using a 97 civic ex harness and 97 gsr ecu for now. when i turn the car on the motor shakes more then usaully would. i got all the mounts bolted. what you guys thinks is the problem. which motor mount is to prevent the motor from shaking. thanks in advance.

i have hondata s300 but just for now to get it to tunner i was gonna run on p72. just wanted to know if that was normal for the motor to shake before tune.

i wouldn't recommend boosting a motor that wasn't running solid in the first place. if your using a b16a head you would have better luck using a a b16a ecu (p30 timing and p72 timing are different and the heads are very different also
but if you have a tuner he should be able to work out those problems.

if you have a tuner in mind ask them to send you a base map to crank the car with until you get there. I do not recommend driving around on this map, but you can at least crank the car and get onto a trailer or whatever...

Re: poor man type r turbo.
that what i am planning on doing was start it and get it on trailer. but if i could fix the problem with motor shaking a lot then i would like to do that first and then take it to the tuner. you guys know what motor mount prevents the motor from shaking?

Re: poor man type r turbo.
check the torque mounts (on the bottom side of the frame rail both sides)and the rear t mount, bolted to the sub frame) but it might shaking because the timing is far off. tranny and timing mount are mainly load bearing
