Default poor man type r turbo.

so i turboed my obd1 gsr block with 99 si head in my 97 civic with out the crank sensor. i am using a 97 civic ex harness and 97 gsr ecu for now. when i turn the car on the motor shakes more then usaully would. i got all the mounts bolted. what you guys thinks is the problem. which motor mount is to prevent the motor from shaking. thanks in advance.

ok you turbo'd this motor and your running it with a p72 ecu ? is that the case ?

i have hondata s300 but just for now to get it to tunner i was gonna run on p72. just wanted to know if that was normal for the motor to shake before tune.

i wouldn't recommend boosting a motor that wasn't running solid in the first place. if your using a b16a head you would have better luck using a a b16a ecu (p30 timing and p72 timing are different and the heads are very different also

but if you have a tuner he should be able to work out those problems.

if you have a tuner in mind ask them to send you a base map to crank the car with until you get there. I do not recommend driving around on this map, but you can at least crank the car and get onto a trailer or whatever...

that what i am planning on doing was start it and get it on trailer. but if i could fix the problem with motor shaking a lot then i would like to do that first and then take it to the tuner. you guys know what motor mount prevents the motor from shaking?

check the torque mounts (on the bottom side of the frame rail both sides)and the rear t mount, bolted to the sub frame) but it might shaking because the timing is far off. tranny and timing mount are mainly load bearing
