polishing intercooler, any tips?
I used 400, 600, 1200, 1500, and 2000 grit paper. There's also a polishing kit that comes with 3 compounds and buffing wheels for a drill. I finished it off with some metal polish i've had for years...think it's Mother's brand but I have it in a ziploc now sooo....my endtanks are aluminum sheetmetal mirrors now! tubes are a little harder to get shining good..
The more steps of grit going up you use the general better look you will get, I usually finish with 2000 grit paper. One thing to remember is to make sure you sand out ALL casting dimples before you buff it...
