Base maps aren't for driving, they are for starting your car so you can tune it. You can't tune a car that isn't on, so you need a basemap. They are not for driving around.

Re: plz help (95gsrEG)
you're "gettin" hondata?
what the hell management do you have now? you said "base map" but what exactly do you mean by that? Do you have ANY management right now?
Are you possibly running stock ecu with NO basemap? This would explain why the car is running hellishly rich at idle and dying, because you have 450cc injectors being run by an ecu programmed for some about half that size.......
I think you need to get a few more things in line before worrying about having power. Like, proper engine management and tune.

Yeah, we need to know what EMS you're running in order to help you out, a Basemap really doens't tell us much. Are you running a stock p28 ecu that isn't chipped or, one that is chipped...or whichever....Tell us what you're using so we can help you.

At this point, I'm in awe! The tremendous amount of knowledge you incur within you is amazing. The common sense that you lack to answer a f'ing simple question is unbelievable. Why ask for help when you neglect to answer a question that is essential, in order for H-T, to attempt to help you out? This train wreck of thread should be locked and vanished from H-T to never bee seem by even the novice. You want me to stay out…I will, but with that attitude and lack of common sense, I think the rest of H-T will do the same. Good luck in the future pal, you're going to need it. By the way, even an “*** monkey” would comprehend further than you can, in your entire life span.

Re: (Evilparadize)
my guess: It's not a basemap. He's blowing smoke because he has no idea wtf he's talkin bout.
I think he's on the stock ecu trying to run those big ole injectors without any adjustment.

Re: (vtecb18c)
this kid doesn't know wth he's talking about.
basemap tuned for 450cc injectors? doubtful. running rich and dying at idle? Sounds like an overfueled stock ecu to me.
