Default PLX Wideband question (datalogging)

Hey, I'm tryin to hook up a PLX M-500 (wireless datalogging version) to my Civic and can't figure out how to do the datalogging part at all!

There's the datalogging harness with the 6 wires blue, green, red, white, brown, black

2 for speed signals (measures the frequency of signal pulses)
4 for analog signals (measures the voltage of a signal)

the manual doesn't go into much more detail, and I don't know where to connect these wires at all.

I guess I'm hoping someone who has put this in their OBD-1 honda will know what to do. Thanks for any insight.

You hook them up to whatever you want to datalog.

RPM's, Coolant Temp, MAP, etc.

You need the voltage conversions though and set it up with the PLX datalogging software.

I can't help you much with that though cuz I use Uberdata.

okay, that helps a bit, but what would I hook up RPM to? one of the 4 analog signal or one of the 2 speed signal wires? How do I tell the difference?

The #1 or 2 speed sensor wires. The unit should automatically calibrate as long as you select 4 cycle for the motor selection. This option must be accessed through the software on your labtop.

What he said. I could never get it to log properly in the PLX software though. It would keep going from the correct RPM reading to like 28 back and fourth, making it impossible to use. *shrug*
