Default PLX M-300 and CROME Datalogging. Help Needed!!!

Hello,

Ok, I have wired My PLX to ECU.. Red wire to A25, Black to ground, White to D14.
When I turn on igniton my wideband starts working and everything is ok.. But Now I need to use datalogging in crome..

Here is what I've done to my ECU:

I'm using Ostrich BTW..

When I start crome and select file>settings>real time programming and choose port: COM4 and in hardware type choose: Moates Ostrich and press Test Connection it connects succesfully. And Put>Get works OK. But when I go to file>settings>tuner comm and select Crome QD2 and port: COM4 and press test connection it says: COM4 failed to open.

Can you please help me with this? I need to start datalogging asap.

Here is another photo:

Is that a USB -> Serial converter wired to the ECU? I can't see any little box in the middle of the cable that would indicate it has a conversion chip. Also, it sounds like you're trying to connect to the ECU with the same COM port as you have your Ostrich on. The datalogging connection should be on a different port.

The datalogging part will only connect successfully if you have the ecu up and running. IE: The car started or ignition on position.

So if you have the car running and it doesn't connect, then you want to verify your settings and driver.

I believe you can use a USB spliter/hub to run two things into the same port. I am not sure how well they will work though.

Yes, either HULOG or Hondalog will work. A cheaper alternative is to find a cell phone data cable for $10-15 and hack it apart, find the Tx and Rx wires, and connect that to the ECU. If you only have 1 USB port, you can get a regular serial adapter and wire that to the ECU. Both methods are detailed on this page:

If you still want to datalog through USB, you could unplug the Ostrich while you datalog, then switch the cables to upload your changes. A small USB hub may work as well, but I think when I tried it it couldn't supply enough power to both devices at once.

Do you have a serial port? Use a superdroid cable. You need a datalogging cable. A straight USB cable will not work. I've used both Moates and Superdroid datalogging cables and both work extremely well.
