Default plug wires...

Does anybody else have a problem with the tops of their plug wires sitting flush with the valve cover?
I just picked up a set of magnecor wires and they sat almost flush (slightest gap) when i had a set of zex plugs in. I swapped my plugs for a set of ngk bcp7's and now the plug wires don't sit as flush. The plugs are in all the way and the wires are on the plugs. everything runs fine but i just don't like the gap.

I had a pair before(different engine) and had no problems. I decided to go with these wires again because for one they were the only pair within 60 miles of my house and i needed them asap, and secondly i didn't want to settle for autolite wires for $29 or oem wires for $119...I went to every shop (performance and every auto parts store (schucks, autozone, napa, etc) around and only one shop had a set of wires for my car all the other stores were sold out and weren't expecting more until later this week...
They are on the cap and the plugs securely they just don't sit down all the way......I'm not worried about them pooing off because they are on good, i just don't like the gap.....
