They retail for $590 but I'm sure you can pick one up for $500 or so.

Very good price, considering it's thicker than the Greddy and Apexi "Skyline" sized ones and about half the price of those

Wouldn't the 8" tall one be a lil more effective due to the fact the size of the hole in most bumpers are that large. Cause with the 10" you have about 3" that is not seeing much air at all, and you have a lot more space to fill. The 8" is basically the same size width and thickness wise. It should be still quite large enough to support 600+whp.

Thats why you cut out the top section of the bumper

Then the whole thing will see all of the air it needs.

i personally wouldn't see a problem with it, its all aluminum right just clean the anidizing off of it and then weld up the new end tank but maybe if the incooler isn't off set to where the turbo sits unless it is mounted the other way like a greddy or drag kit i don't forsee that being a problem.

If you wanted to do this, wouldnt it be easier to order just the core and then have custom end tanks welded on?

Well I don't know where Iggy(quickB18b) is but I'll post for him.
This is the same small FMIC I have. They say it's suppose to support upto 350hp.
Would it be ok if I was into the 300whp range a few time?

What actually happend when your FMIC is becoming in-efficent for you application? do you feel the difference or is it still ok?
