Default help with turbo...

i plan on runnin' 6psi on my 94 LS for a daily driver...

do they make smaller downpipes than the 2.5"?

or can i have a 2.5" DP flare smaller to a 2.25" "hi-flow" cat and a 2.25" ITR cat-back exhaust?

i really want to keep my ITR exhaust cause i want it quiet, is this is a real bad idea to use such small piping?

on an old engine...what should i do to check to make sure it can handle turbo...
compression check & leakdown test..anything else?

A turbo with a 2.5" DP hooked up to a 2.25" exhaust will be VERY quiet...prob quieter than NA with the same exhaust...remember that since the turbine is in the exhaust stream it removes a great deal of the exhaust energy as well as being a fairly effective muffler by chopping up the exhaust gases. You will lose a signifigant amount of HP and increase lag if you decide to do this...but it is not necessarily dangerous and will definately be quiet...
