Ok I won an auction for a Drag 3 kit for 2200. It's low. but the guy is charging me $550 for shipping!!! What can I do? I think it's so cheap that he's doing this! Is there some sort of protection from Ebay from ppl like this?

try contacting Ebay...$550 is outrageous for shipping...only cost me $75 for shipping fmax kit from CA to FL...the person is trying to make up for the low price for the drag on the auction....IMO, $2750 shipped is a good price for a new drag... but the person charging $550 shipping is crazy

you're getting ripped off. he's trying to make up for what he didn't get in the auction (obviously $500). i would back out of the buy or complain to Ebay.

 

AARRRGGGHHH!!! I wish I can just go pick it up, but he's in san diego and I'm in chicago. DAAAMMMNNN!!!!

I personally sold a drag kit on ebay and shipping from westcoast to eastcoast only cost $59,- w/ ups ground and insurance. Maybe you can find someone in CA to pick it up and tell them to ship it for you.

 

Would you know the weight on the kit? I'm might just ask UPS to pick it up...if i can.

Don't know if this helps..but when I shipped out my Greddy kit w/ intercooler...i quoted UPS 60-70 lbs and shipping was no more than $60 from east coast to Washington.

 

I would just back out of the sale, Did it state what the shipping would be in the persons listing, if it did then they have to stand by that, 550 for shipping! no way i would pay that,i have had over 1500 sales on ebay(with no negatives) and from experence i know if a seller doesnt list what they will charge for shipping, they will be tempted to charge more to make up for a lower selling price, email and ask if you can pick it up,see what he says

 

He didn't list the shipping price. Ag it's like a scam.
