Which Pistons and Rods?
Well the turbo has finally taken it's toll on the old JDM b16 and i'm getting some pretty nasty blow by. I had my buddy burp the throttle today with my hands behind the pipe and in the matter of seconds, my hands were black. My question is which low compression pistons are you all using? Suggest rings and rods as well if you know of good ones. As of now I have been looking into getting JE or wiseco with some eagle H beams. As for the rings, I don't really know any that are better than the others.
Edit: I talked to a hotrod mechanic yesterday and he said a lot of people using nitrous on big block applications use a piston set up with holes in the top that go into a chamber in the piston. Apparently it pushes the rings outward giving a better seal. Anyone know of this and if they make such a piston for our purposes?

Re: Which Pistons and Rods? (Turbo95Hatch)
Like i mentioned in another thread it all depends on what HP level you want to hit. And those holes come from the bottom out to relieve pressure and i believe everyone makes it with those.

Re: Which Pistons and Rods? (Luserkid)
right now I've got right about 300 to the wheels, I'm not looking to make a drag car so that amount of power is fine with me, but I don't want to go too low in compression so I have trouble going before the turbo spools.

CP pistons, eagle rods. I have je pistons and eagle rods. But CP's are a better priced piston and the quality is top notch...
