I was wondering what would be the best pistons for a b16 where I can run high boost. If you could tell me which u prefer and what the compression ratio would be that would be awesome. Also if u know of a good place to purchase them that would work too. thanks for reading

 

i wouldn't go lower than 9:1 on a b16, CP pistons or JE are both nice, look in the sponsor forum, good prices on CP's

 

how high do u think I can run on those I am new with turbo so I am still learning all I know is I was gonna go all motor with type R internals and build the motor myself but I figure I always wanted to go turbo in my hatch so I figured I will do it right and complete before the swap. So now I am just picking up ideas then when I get around the right boost I will be all smiles and then I can start balancing and blue printing the block. But once again how high of boost could I go with that. Thanks for the rapid response.

 

also what would be the idea rods? I really wanna try to run high boost. So rods and pistons are what I am tryin to get some ideas with so its possible

 

I like ROSS pistons a lot but CP and JE are great too.

they will take pretty much anything you can throw at them (I run over 30psi on my engine with ROSS pistons.)

You really need to come up with a HP level you want to acheive b/c boost is really irrelevent it is HP that is the factor.

Eagle make really good rods though (for the money), however other good ones are like crower, manley, pauter, oliver.
