piston rings

Default piston rings

i need to know where to set the piston ring gaps so i can put the pistons back in the block on my rebuild... a picture or anything will really help... or an old post that someon can link me too...thanks! oh its for a b18a motor thanks again

I followed this from Jeff Evan's site: "The formula for sizing the top and bottom compression rings is bore size (in inches) x 0.006", and then add 0.004 for the secondary compression ring gap"

in je,srp,ross and cp directions it says the 2nd ring should be larger then the 1st or it will cause static pressure that the ring cant bleed off.
in je's it say.oo5 x bore for street and .0055x bore fore moderate boost and .006 for race. for second ring add .0005 to formulas for the 1st ring
