Bad power or ground, i can almost say that with 100% confidence. Mine did the same thing till i soldered everything and made sure all my connections were perfect.

ok, its getting ridiculous, its counting down EVERY damn second evertime i drive it counts down non stop, i just keep turning it off, and it turns back on then counts down... now today it got even Worse... it counts down, does wierd stuff, Turns off, stays off, then turns on randomly, and now when i turned off my car and removed my key, the TT was still ON.. and it didnt even count down for me... i cheked all the wires looked to be Plugged in and good, ground wire was on but it was sharing ground wires with other applications.. is that the problem? other then that ALl the wires look good and secure... HOw can this randomly happen !!

where does it get its 12v constant from? Also, where does it see 12v ignition and accessory?

Where is it grounded?

Is the parking brake function used, or does that wire just ground out permanently to negate that feature?

edited.

Also - if I had to guess I would say its a bad connection at the 12v ign (aka green wire) Either that or maybe the relay inside of it has pewped out on you.

you sure you arent referencing the brown wire?

The gray is for the parking brake.
The brown wire is for the RPM signal from the ECU

The parking brake wire is a safety feature. The light that goes on in your dash for the parking brake is a result of connection to ground.

If you choose to use the gray wire for the parking brake feature, the timer will only count down when the parking brake is up (providing the ground). If you want to disable this feature, simply permanently provide ground to the gray wire.

I dont quite know why the timer references the RPM wire... on the type1 models you can view the engine RPM so it might be an artifact of down compatibility... using the same board for all of their models maybe? Do you have the type0 or type1?

yeh I dont think the one you have has RPM

the 10 and 16 volts are more than likely the values to which you will get a warning for, dunno if they are variable... they might be?

Lol I havent touched my TT in a few years so I dont know the menus
