Piggyback controllers and knock sensor?
I am using a Greddy Emanage on my 02 civic and was wondering, The emenage wires into the ignition coils to retard and advance timing but does not wire into the factory knock sensor. So with the piggy back controlling some factors of the ecu, would the factory knock sensor still detect knock and retard the timing? Any thoughts?
I think the knock sensor would still be an input to the ecu, but when the ecu tries to change the timing, the E-manage will overide the signal and do whatever action is set into the map...
It sounds like the unit will not retard the timing based on knock sensor readings to the factory ecu...
Just assumptions...Anyone care to add?

well my emenage came with the greddy knock sensor adaptor but it came with no instructions of what it does or operates. I know how to wire it but thats all
