A picture of tubing comparisons for manifold construction.
In regards to the recent topic of what materials are better in manifolds... here is a picture. You can see why we use the thick wall tubing.

Looks like that shows that we use the thicker tubing, but doesn't really address why, care to elaborate?

lol i dont think they get much shorter...........i would feel much safer with the pipe on the right
cut your nails!

The thinwall is fine for exhaust but not for manifolds since the manifold has to support a turbo while getting hot enough to cook a 30lb gobbler in 15 minutes!

Just recieved my max-rev manifold today in the mail and I have to say it is freakin awesome. It is thick and good quality. I have been practicing welding and your welds just look perfect, they were flawless.
