Default Phasing distributor with speed pro?

I was wondering if anyone used a newer style 99 si distirbutor for speed pro? It seems that when adjusting the distributor like the directions say on fast's website, that I can not get the proper phasing in with out modifying the pickup in the distributor. The distributor should line up with the relutor when the crank is at 53 degrees btdc. anyone had to deal with this? I dont want to tune the car if the timming is not dead on why risk anything.Jason

you should be able to adjust the crank ref angle up or down to match what you are seeing with a timing light. say you are at 53 right now and base timing in the speed pro is set to 22 degrees. But on the timing light you are seeing 15 degress
waht you would have to do now to calibrate it is t oset the crank ref angle to 15-22 =7 + 53 =60
