People with ACT un-sprung 6puck clutches?
When you engage the clutch does it make a squeak sound? Mines sounds like I am spining my tires but its not. Is this usual with un-sprung clutches? Thanks

Re: (drvfast)
I get a little fast squeak for about a seccond but im pretty sure that its from the exhaust or something further back being jostled around. Sounds like tiny bird chirps or mice or something. Its followed by a loud sucking sound so it really doesnt bother me.

I have a metallic engagement sound from the aggressive material on the friction pads. It kinda sounds like a squeak I guess.
Do a first gear start in a closed parking garage and you can hear it easily.

anything cerametallic will....its the cerametallic pad on the disc pressing on the presure plate and flywheel...metal on metal..
its normal..i used to have a 6puck and it did the same thing (i dont think its a coincedence that everyone replying just happens to have a "squeaky exhaust")

Re: (Def)
i went through 2 6puck unsprung and they both made noises. u can drive them on the street, but they dont last long. every time i replaced one it was chewed to hell, maybe heat related, i believe the noise was the revets grinding on the flywheel. i went to a clutch net 6 puck sprung and the act extreme pressure plate and the match was perfect. beat the hell out of that setup for almost a year. went through 5 trannies and the same clutch. the clutch still look new when i change the last tranny before selling the car .

Re: (UJLSMoFo)
Im planning on getting one for my D16a6
I want the SPRUNG version though, will have about 350 and I guess maybe 275 tq
This car will be daily driven but not much stop and go traffic, noise doesnt bother me but having to rip my tranny out because it didnt last would
Is there a reason why you guys didnt spring out the extra $20 for the sprung version? is unsprung better for some reason?
I can get em for $260 sprung

Re: (W O T)
the unsprung clutch grads harder and faster engagment, the sprung is more forgiving on the tranny it doesnt engage as hard.
