Default Peak/Hold vs. Saturated Drivers

Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone could confirm that peak/hold drivers operate differently than saturated drivers?

I heard somewhere (can't remember where) that the drivers are the same but have an inline resistor (like SDS does) to lower the amperage. If this was true, it would mean that with a resistor pack, low-impedance injectors on a stock ECU would work the way it's supposed to? Or is this a "patch" method?

Reason I'm asking, is that SDS doesn't offer peak/hold injector drivers. I have 580cc low-impedance injectors. I know it will work fine with the resistor pack they provided, but am I still getting the benefits associated with low-impedance injectors? (Faster open/close, short pulse width capability, cooler operation) ...

Here's an old thread from the Vortex. I thought I already had the answer, but after hearing that the drivers were the same, I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone knows anything about this.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks!
