i was wondering what the difference between saturated and peak and hold is.

saturated is high impedance/ ohms
peak and hold - low impedance/ ohms

what exactly does that mean? how do you tell the difference? i heard you use a volt meter. is there anyway to tell the difference by looking at it?

impedence and resistance are 2 different things, a volt meter measures resistance, not impedence. bassically peak and hold injectors, or "low impedence" can react faster, but will burn out the injector drivers in most stock ECU's wich use saturated circut "high impedence" injectors. I am not really an injector expert (yet, ben and earl are on thier way to enlighten the east coast ) but that much I can tell you... you can run a low Z (Z is means impedence) injector with a stock ECU, but you need a resistor box to make the electronic load on the injector drivers correct... I can tell you more after this weekends EFI 101 East Coast seminar.... or perhaps someone already in the know can pick up where I left off, I know there are some great info pages I belive on RC's website (I didn't read the whole thing)

here is the link, poke around on here and it should help:
