Default Peak and Hold Injectors .

I am feeling very dumb after I did some reading on the search button on the forum . When I installed my Precision 1000cc Injectors I didn`t know that I had to install a resistor box , So far I had been using them with a P28 OBD1 ECU chiped with a Hondata S300 system for about 1 month now as daily driving.

There isn`t any problems so far , everything is working fine . Should I go and buy a resistor box and install it before something funny happens ?

Also , can please some one tell me where a stock Honda resistor box on an OBD0 car is mounted ? because I searched and I didn`t find a good answer for that , tomorow I am going to a junk yard maybe I can find one .

The funny thing is that on Hondata website it says that in 10 minutes the ECU will be fried if you install low impedance injectors with a Hi impedance ECU driver , my ECU had been working with these injectors for longer than that and it`s still working fine !!

i was always under the impression that they would fry the driver as well, but to answer your location question, they are usually at the rear drivers side corner of the engine bay. on 88-91 civic's and crx's.

Thanks very much boostedcivicsir , The guy that I am going to imports many civics and CRX with B16 engines so I am shure that I will find one , if no I have to get one from USA .

Also lets just hope that the ECU don`t get fried on the way to buy the resistor
I had been using it like that for about 1000 miles ...

Ok guys I found a Resistor box from a 1990 CRX . Now I wired it up in my car and I when I started it up it was idling funny , it is like it`s going to die ! What`s the problem ? Do I need to start tuning from the beginning ?

Thanks
Marlon

you sure you have peak and hold injectors and not saturated? how can your peak and hold injectors work perfectly fine for 1000miles w/o fryin the ECU but give you problems when you hook up the resistor box. somethin aint right.

I have 1000cc Precision Injectors and on everywhere that I read is stated that all 1000cc precision Injectors are Peak and Hold . I even checked the resistance with a multimeter , the stock ones were 12 ohms and the precision were 3 ohms . I don`t know wtf is happining

Without the resistor box the car drives great and with the resistor box hooked up the car at idle will barley run and the wide band reads lean .

What should I do ? does the resistor box effects the tune ?
