Re: GT4088 Bushing turbo (DUB20VT)
I used that same turbo on my VR6. I liked it, but did not bring it in its efficiency range. Made 434whp on 18psi. It was a good turbo though, I liked it a lot. Spool wasnt bad. I made 18psi by 4800 rpms on my vr6 with 3.0l of displacement

According to APT turbo, the GT4088 can support 700 hp. But... They list different trims than you have listed.

Re: GT4088 Bushing turbo (DUB20VT)
Also looked through boostfed old thread comparing the gt4082, gt4088R and gt4067,
i remember there being the inducer diameter and exducer diameter of the gt40 compressor wheels. That page of the thread doesnt seem to be there anymore.
Anyone know the know these details for the gt4088 bushing turbo...?

Re: GT4088 Bushing turbo (DUB20VT)
i suggest if your trying to build something at that power level, dont do it with so so parts
not that this turbo isnt good, but im sayin it may be benificial for you to go with the ball bearing

some ppl just can't budget that other $800 though....
i mean, that's a set of axles, that's another tranny, that's a large chunk of a twin disk, that's a set of slicks, that's rods and pistons, that's this...that's that...
if the journal turbo can do the power, and still hvae a half decent powerband.....then it's just another choice.
same as the GT35...not everyone can afford the R...so some go wiht the E

Non bb versionb GT4088 is 88mm exducer and 64.7 Inducer
I later CORRECTED the GT4088R info to show that the Inducer is actually 63.5mm

Re: GT4088 Bushing turbo (Turbocivic94)
the gt4067 has a bit larger inducer (67mm vs 64.7mm), but a lot smaller exducer (84mm vs 88mm).
