Default passing smog with lower compression pistons

i have a 96 prelude with an h22 and it's turbo. i've recently blown a piston... (that's what happens when you run 8lbs. on a 100k engine) i was thinking about getting it resleeved, new pistons and rods, all the goodies. i live in CA, could i still pass smog with lower compression pistons if i put the stock airbox and exhaust manifold on? thanks guys
