I passed my somg check today with my f-max kit, open wastegate, no cat, blocked egr and open crankcase breather. Let's see you Cali guys do that!

yeah, there are some places that won't look under your hood.
But they are supposed to. I know of people that had failed visual here.
Me myself had passed with no charcoal canister though.

The first two places i took it to wouldn't touch my car but a friend passed me on to a guy that dosen't care about the visual. He's an old school muscle car guy and said if it passes the test that's good enough.
