a new cap and rotor from autozone was like 25 bucks for both for me. i work there also so i get a discount. some minor parts i'll get from my work, but major things like head gaskets and pumps i get from honda down the street. i also have a hookup there too lol

Ok so this is just my say... Honda stuff may be more expensive, and may not seem worth it at the time of purchase, but I have YET to be unhappy that I bought a seal or part from Honda where as Autozone or Shucks have kicked me in the nutts countless times with seals that dont fit, parts that dont exactly fit ect ect. When I but the OEM crap, I know its going to fit, its going to last and its not going to wear out faster like some of the autostore stuff does.... And to me, thats worth the extra $ knowing that Im not going to have to take something apart again, just to replace a seal or part. Some stuff from the parts store Ive bought is working fine, but a lot more stuff hasnt ended up working out for me.
OEM from Honda is worth it to me in the end.

Re: parts store or honda? (ratboy)
two weeks ago i purchassed a brand new distributor from autozone / the one on my car was casuing my boost to break up at various rpms on the dyno. The ones that they sell are rebuilt i got back to the shop (Rev-tech, in Woodbridge V.a. highly recommended) and The tuners Brian and Johnathon told me that all the rebuilt parts were crap and it would do the same thing. Too make a long story short the autezone one was crap and did the exact same thing as the old one did, so i had to go to Honda and break out the credit card on the OEM part but fixed my problem right away.
