Default P28 with Hondata

I tried searching for this every way I could think of so if there is an answer in a previous thread just post the link. Do I need, or should I have, a chipped P28 if I am using a Hondata? Thanks!

You have to buy an 74HC373 IC chip, a 10K ohm resistor, and a couple other things (jumpers, caps, etc.) to chip the ECU to DOHC specs... If you do it yourself it'll cost you maybe $10.00 max... Then install the 28 pin socket (27256), your EPROM, CN2 socket, etc. and you'll be set... Good Luck

it depends on what car, what motor, what ecu, well not really what motor and ecu but he doesnt need a p28 for an LS motor, he can use a p74 p75.

if its for the car in his sig, then he can use any of these
P74,P75,P06,PR4,P72,P28,P30,P61,P08J,P30J,P72J
but P28,P30,P72,P61 ECUs need to be configured to run non-VTEC.

this is off of their site.
