Yes, p06 can be converted to p28 and p75 will take the same chipping (just no vtec).

Read what I wrote again. p75 will NOT have vtec. P06 can be converted to a p28 and will have vtec.

P06 isn't worth much, but it does take a few more parts and more effort to convert it to p28 specs.
I forget if there are any p06 autos, but those will work also. P05s work also, but again require conversion stuff.
http://www.xenocron.com for prices on chipkits for your buddy and some more info.

po6 auto's are worth more then p06 std's as they contain 2 5151's for the auto tranny. the 5151's can be removed and later saved for non vtec to vtec conversions to activate the vtec soleniod
if i remember correctly any usd obd1 ecu can be socketed and chipped for vtec except the p07 which is out of the vx

Pretty much any OBD1 ECU can be made to do anything you want it to, except the P07.. this goes for the civic/integra family. So if you have a P75, you can get it chipped and ready to handle vtec. You can follow the guide, sometimes there are parts that are hard to come by when doing this, such as the Sk parts.
