No. Conduction is the transer of energy through direct contact. Aluminum is a good conductor because it transfer the heat energy easily. Like copper is a good electrical conductor. Iron is good at heat retention and absorbtion.

Ok I have a question, I have a integra ls that has the jackson racing supercharger kit on it. I know that the stock temp gauges are not accurate at all but its all I have at the moment... Anyway after I have done a couple of pulls/runs whatever you call them when the charger is doing its thing the temp gauge stay the same but if I pull over and pop the hood the coolant over flow bottle has quiet a bit more fluid in it than before the runs....

Now could this be from bubbles in the coolant system?? The top coolant pipe is not the proper one it has a slight kink in it (long story) I didn't think it was enough to make a difference and I was planning on replacing it for one that fits properly but now I am beginning to wonder?

How do you properly bleed a coolant system? I have looked (did a search) and didn't find a definite answer? sorry for my ignorance but any advise would be of great help.

Aluminum will cause a chemcical reaction with foods and is banned in all cooking instruments unless it does not come in contact with the food. It has been known to cause cancer. Only AL pans allowed are teflon coated or copper plated. Real cooking pans are made of steel. Many european countries don't even allow AL pans with coatings.

Aluminum conducts heat about 20 times faster than iron. Thats a lot. One of the reasons chefs like cast iron is because it retains heat so well. When you dump in a bunch of cold meat from the fridge, the overall temperature of your stew doesn't change as much as it would with an aluminum pan. Cast iron also takes much longer to warm up though. And then there's the prep work required to seal (with lard) cast iron prior to cooking...pain in tha ***.

One of the reasons it's tougher to weld aluminum is that it transfers the heat away from the weld area so quickly.

the main thing that would cause over heating is a bad cooling system

Aluminum may be a poison after all. Some scientific studies link aluminum injestion to alzheimers disease. Check the label on your deoderant, buy your beer in bottles, cook in cast iron pots, and use ductile iron cylinder sleeves.

Iron also gets corroded easily.
It only takes a few years till water
eats its way through the cylinder.

Golden Eagle sleeves have 0 problems with heat...

I can attest...I am only the largest buyer of Golden Eagle sleeves in this Universe.

I have gone through about 40 blocks at least this year alone...and none of them have a problem with heat..at all.

Are you running like a single cam radiator, single core with a 1.8 liter or 2 liter motor?

Did you put in bar's leak and it clogged up your thermostat a little so your not circulating?

Its a problem like that for sure. Check that, flush the system, bleed off all the air, and make sure you run at least a 12" electric cooling fan on it.

The stock fan really is weak, and so is the single core radiators.

I datalogg all the time, and a Fluidyne Radiator is like 20-30 degrees cooler than anything else I have ever seen. Its like the best radiator hands down.

Good luck, and I hope I helped.

Jeff

As long as you keep the temp at 95 degrees C, everything should be fine. Aim for that temp.
