Default Overheating issues+ boost and car is new

So my car all of a sudden my car decided yesterday that it was gonna overheat.

I have never ever had a problem with my coolant system ever! I have had the turbo kit on for sometime now. I used to be able to drive around and boost on 100degree days and never ever overheat.

Then yesterday I looked at my temp gauge at a stop light and could actually watch it rise up very slowly past the halfway mark towards the 3/4 mark at idle. As soon as I started moving it would drop back down.

It only seems to heat up when i boost for a long period of time (remember I have been boosting for a while and never had this problem) and when it is at idle.

As soon as I move the temp gauge immediately starts to return to normal. I noticedt that there is MORE liquid in my overflow tank then when I started!

SO HERE IS WHAT I DO KNOW:::
My headgasket is fine (it is new)
My fans both kick on.
It overheats at idle and when boosting for a long time
Overflow tank seems to fill up more and more
My car is NEW, only has 19k miles!

All suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks.

Well the headgasket has been on for some time. It is aftermarket, thicker to lower my compression. I have never had any problems with it. So I would assume this is not the culprit.

Why would it heat up at idle, then as soon as I start driving, it immediately goes down??

For the same reason your radiator fans turn on at idle. The car is not moving so no air is flowing through the radiator.

Not that this info helps you in any way

Just because the headgasket is new doesnt mean its fine. poor tuning, high cylinder pressures and warped deck/head surfaces will kill a new gasket in no time.

looks like you checked everything but the most obvious problem, your thermostat or water pump..that's usually what causes it.

first, get a real temp guage. The stock unit is a$$. Temps for my LS motor range from 160~200 depending on driving conditions(city/highway). I was tooling around racing occasionally satuarday night and I noticed my temp was at 230! so I whipped it into a K-mart, bought some coolant, fixed the problem. I was running mostly water, did have any anitfreeze/coolant when I rebuild my head.....

Just a suggestion
