Overheating (another thread)
-The climate here is now cold.
-I recently changed the thermostat.
-I use Redline Water Wetter.
-It does not overheat at idle.
-Fan is wired to be on ALL the time.
-I let the car run with the cap off for a couple minutes.
This cold morning, it was overheating when I drive. If I stop, it seems to go back to normal. I pulled off to the side and felt the hoses. The upper hose is warm/hot but the lower hose is cold to the touch. That must be a problem. Is Water Wetter bad for cold climates?
Help me out...car can still boost and all that crap

I found this from Redline's website:
FREEZING POINT DEPRESSION
Red Line WaterWetter® does not significantly reduce the freezing point of water. If the vehicle will see freezing temperatures, an antifreeze must be used. Water expands approximately 9% upon freezing which can cause severe engine damage. Even in summertime, the use of air-conditioning can blow freezing air through the heater and cause freezing of the heater core unless approximately 20% antifreeze is used.
I use water+water wetter. Hmmmm...
