I went 3/4 of a quart over once. I'm sure it's gonna be fine . you can even go a little under if you wanted too

your fine, the only thing you should be worried about is prolly like a full quart extra, that could cause pressure to build up

I've run about 3/4 quart religiously on my old M3 with no problems. That car would oil starve easily, and a little bit more oil is much better than a dead engine.

Run a baffled pan on my SR now, so no problems there!

2-3 capfuls is no big deal. That is probably about the same amount that would fill your oil lines. However too much overfilling will destroy your motor and will turn a perfectly straight rod into, well a not so straight rod!

Now the question is why?

2-3 cap fulls won't hurt, but it wouldn't help either.... it's too little to make a difference. If you have a baffle in your oil pan, you should be fine.
