Default Over boosting.

Here is the basic infromation. 93 prelude Si, Drag Gen 2, 550cc, Hondata 2B, 35mm Tial, profac B, JS V2. I finally finished installing the turbo kit. The problem now is I can't control the boost at all. When boosting, the boost keeps going has no sign of stop. I don't think my wastegate is opening at all becasue I can't hear it. I have the compressor port hook up to the Tial side port, probac b "out" to the top port of tial., and tee the bov vaccum for "in".

Try it like this...
1- to intake manifold
2- to compressor port
3- to top of WG
Now, the side port of the WG put that on the intake manifold source.

See if that works, if that doesnt let me know and I'll show you another way.

Try not using the profec B and see where the WG stops boost on its own.

Just turn off the Profec to see if that's your problem. If so, you might need to change the jumpers on the back of the unit.

Art, it still doesn't work. Can you show and another way?. dbman, I had side port drict to compressor port still not luck. Is it possible WG got stuck and it won't open??? Still can't hear the WG open.
before I had profac b, I had side port direct to compressor port, and open the top port, still overboosting

If you have an air compressor try to force some compressed air into the top side port of the WG. See if its opening, but dont put too much pressure in there. Just a quick burst of air in there should do it. You dont have to take the WG off, but you can actually see the diaphram open and close...

Do you have the Ball-sack 2bar spring in there? I am not sure, but I think there is some sort of color code to determine spring rates....

How do you have your dip switches?

Per the directions you should have it:
External
1-up
2-down
3-down
4-up

External (when over boosting occurs)
1-up
2-down
3-up
4-down

Art is really "Art of Turbo". He just proved it again by solving my problem. I think the WG got stuck or something. I blew it with the air compessor, and reroute the vacumm lines with Art's diagram. The boost satys very nicely on 0.45bar now, no more no less.

I have profac b set
External (when over boosting occurs)
1-up
2-down
3-up
4-down
