i have heard very good things about it. it can take the abuse of drag racing. before the venom team switched to the tilton c/f, they ran the OS giken without failure. in japan its actually pretty affordable, but by time it gets here its like $1500+. I think a better buy by far is the tilton twin disc metal, which concidentally Viren is doing a group buy on. You should hit him up.

I think the tilton is a better choice not only because of price, but because tilton is located in america, and finding replacement parts shouldn't be an issue. on the other hand, i think if you screwed up a os giken, you'll have a hard time getting parts, and even when you find them, waiting for it to come from japan is a pain.

What do you want to know? How much horsepower are you making or intend to make? What's your budget?

i'm using an OS-Giken twinplate clutch in my Civic. It originally was from an FD3S RX7, and then was modified to fit into my D16Y8. It has never slipped. Even when I was boosting 1.6 bar, it still held on tight. And i've been using it for over a year now. Its also caused me to break countless amounts of driveshafts lesson i've learnt from using OS clutches.. never drop the clutch in 1st with a stock D16Y8 driveshaft.

I got a few twin disc metal metal units that are coming in. I will sell you a setup twin disc for 1260 shipped. This is excellent unit.

I have only heard one bad thing about the os geiken clutch and that was from the guys at hpracing/toyomoto lance. He bought one for hte prelude and destroyed in houston. First time i have ever seen a twin disc unit really fail. Go figure... But other than that i just dont like to wait for parts to come in especially os geiken stuff.

Thanks everyone...I was just wondering about their clutch for a general purpose. I always hear about tilton stuff, but I know OS peices are good to so I wanted to hear if anyone had a personal experience with them.
