Opinions? GT28r
I'm kinda torn on whether or not this would fit my needs/goals for my upcoming project.
Originally, I had planned on going with a t3/t4 setup running 8-10psi with around 220-250whp in mind on a b18b. The other day I came across someone local selling his gt28r turbo it is ball bearing, water/oil cool, the compressor housing size is .60a/r with 60trim wheel, with a T25 .64 a/r turbine housing.
My question is whether this turbo would be well suited to the b18b1 with my HP goals in mind. Any idea when it would start to spool and acheive full boost...say 8psi? Also, would this run out of steam towards the top end of the RPM band?
Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Re: Opinions? GT28r (lazerus)
Thanks for the replies guys. I just don't want it falling off up top since it's a t25 housing on there as well. I plan on keeping stock internals as well and hey for the price I can't really complain.
WOW, it doesn't just rain turbos it pours. Another local one here for cheaper than the gt28r
T3T4E
StageIII
0.63 A/R compressor
50 Trim
0.58 exhaust
For 700CDN$ it seems to be calling my name. Would this spool faster than a 57 trim .48 a/r?

The .48 WILL spool faster than the .63. But it also WILL fall off in the top end after about 6000RPM. The 50-trim is probably my favorite T04E. But I don't understand what a 0.58 exhaust is...???
Neither will spool as fast as the GT28R

Re: Opinions? GT28r (MarkC)
Sorry I just cut and paste his add and it was included in there. I didn't realize i had included the info....not sure what he's referring to there either.
Thanks by the way for the info.
So the GT28R will be good all the way to redline? Would I be able to yield the numbers I'm looking for from 8psi or will I have to up it a bit since it's a smaller turbo. Man these maps are a tad confusing..hahahah!
