Default Opinion on this back door FMIC (picture)

300whp application

Curious... any thoughts on this back door style FMIC?
Do you see any design flaws regards the endtank design?

Core Size: 25"x8"x2.75"
Overall Size: 34"x8"x2.75"
2.5" Inlet & Outlet

what core is it? if its a garret or bell that is 550+ hp inter cooler. which on a 300 hp it is just more lag for you. check ets its similar but smaller and geared more for 400 ish

I personally dont like the squared end tanks as flow cant be good ramming a straight wall... but you are not after record #

It's probably just like a mishimoto type core.... nothing fancy since it's only $200 for a new one.

I'm thinking this would work well compared to the SAME CORE FMIC with just reg in/outlets on the side because it will require noticeable amount of less piping use & therefore better spool.

The Full-Race FMIC has backdoor on hot side pretty much just like this one, but cool side it's mounted on the side not backdoor.

Correct me if i'm wrong but, with FMIC air end thank designs shouldn't matter all that much cause we're talking about "compressed air". Sure it could be more efficient with smooth entanks that narrow down to the inlet but the difference should be very little right?

Sure is shiny.

But seriously, I personally hate the eBay intercoolers i think there a waste of money. But i can't deny that they do work regardless of my opinion of them. It's really your call if you want a car that has just any parts tossed on it, or if you want a car with quality parts on it. Trust me when i say anyone in the know can tell that's ebay from miles away.

It's like seeing a car with $2k dollar rims but when it came to the tires you see fuzion and go 'looks like he ran out of money". Same thing but with turbo stuff. Ball bearing turbo ebay fmic.

you probably wont be able to use a dual backdoor setup because the radiator is in the way on the cold-side

I still think you missing the point, that ic is too big and will cause as much/more lag than with the normal style piping route. If this is truely a rr or ax car you will realize bigger is not better. I mean if you going to follow suit to H-T you need to be running a gt40 on 8 psi with a slightly bigger intercooler

I just faced this issue to go back door or not, top mount or not, etc. Get out the tape measure and you be the judge. I promise you a dual back door will fit with a full rad with out an issue. like i said check out ets they were my option till I had someone build me exactly what I wanted...
