Default Open Header

hey i was thinking about running open header off my turbo about a few feet long for the drags,, would i lose horse then running my full exhaust system hollow with resinator and muffler because its 2 1/2 and i was going to make a 3 inch pipe for the drags

"hey i was thinking about running open header <U>off my turbo about a few feet long</U> for the drags" You actually have to ask that question? It's pretty obvious he means open downpipe. To answer the question though, yes you probably would lose horsepower when using the current full exhaust.

Open downpipe will gain power over a full exhaust, assuming it exits after the firewall and you retune for the resultant leaning out of the AFR mixture. If its not retuned, it will run lean and possibly cause detonation. If exhaust gasses mix back into the engine bay, your filter (if in the bay) will suck them back up, and make the mixture rich & kill power.

Full exhaust will lose power power over an open DP, assuming its AFR mixture is tuned correctly.
