Open DP tuning
i was gonna go get tuned this week and decided to tune open downpipe since what is what im gonna run at the track. if i tune open downpipe and then hook up the exhaust, will it make it run a little richer on the streets, atleast thats the usual thing ive seen happen.i know taking of the exhaust after tuning full exhaust made it run a little lean. the reason i say this is i may or may not have the cash to do the rest of the tune as in the "full exhaust chip" and im about to swap my **** into a hatch from my del sol and im prolly gonna be open header for a week or so. and then have the new exhaust dont on the hatch cause obviously the exhaust from the sol wont fit.
i have alot of friends tune open downpipe, and yes when u put ur exhaust on, it will run rich, but my firends that do it, there cars still run good to this day
so you should be alright
so you should be alright
ya, big difference my brother had open cutout 2.5 inch and closed cutout 2.5 inch exhaust

But he is trying to sell his setup and went back to stock, 3 state ref tickets

if you are tuning it all yourself then why dont you tune both setups
tune once for street driving, and then agian for track (open dp)
then just swap chips at the track, thats what i plan to do in the future
