open downpipe question
my car is dynotuned with hondata s200 w/boost. if i took out my cat, would that make me run lean? if so, would it be dangerous to drive it 1 1/2 hrs to the track and race it or ? i dont have the money to get it tuned again on the dyno.

it may make you run slightly more lean, but not too much with a test pipe.

how about just open downpipe? i have the obx cat which just looks like a resonator. its pretty straight through. my catback is 70mm and i think thats 2.5in.
I would ask whomever tuned it. You may have a little extra fuel if it is a "safe" tune. It may also not lean it out too much with the exhaust off. Do you have an A/F gauge? It's not good to tune with, but it gives you an idea of whats going on...
